Design
Tooling is built in-house by our engineer team with more than 50 years of experience. Our tooling is designed to be streamlined so we can provide a consistent and unimpeded flow of material from the extruder to the Vacuum Sizer.
Our engineering team is capable of making tooling designed for shorter runs which will give you substantially quicker tooling lead times. We utilize various and unique forms of dimensional control using dry calibration, wet vacuum calibration, air racks and sizing plates to produce the best product for your requirements.
Tooling
Since our beginning, Commplast Inc. has designed, built, and maintained its own tooling. Properly designed and maintained tooling is critical to producing quality product. The world of extrusion has come a long way over the years. Today all of our tooling is designed to exacting specifications using both CAD and CAM software. Commplast Inc. has its own fully equipped tool and die shop, allowing customers to realize the following benefits:

Colour Matching
One of the greatest benefits of using plastic is that it can be coloured rather than requiring paint. We will match any required colour and gloss level. Our quality control team takes the necessary steps to assure that the colours of your product do not fade upon exposure to the sun, with the option of UV stabilizing additives.
Extrusion
We provide single, double and triple extrusions out of hundreds of standard and custom compounds.
The most common type of extrusion is a single material profile run to various cut lengths. Profiles vary greatly in complexity both in profile and in the degree of secondary work required. Our extruded profiles range in size from the smallest bulb seals measuring 0.200" up to 13" in width.
